One word of advice, you don't have to put up with your friends bullshit.

I spent ten years of my life helping my old best friend. I pushed my problems aside to comfort her, to help her and to make sure that she was doing okay. She was waiting around for a guy that didn't want her and it made me mad. She kept asking for advice and I gave it to her. But it wasn't want she wanted to hear. I got sick of having to deal with her nagging and crying. Sooner or later, I understood that I couldn't put up with her shit anymore. I would do anything to piss her just to show her what it felt like when she did what she did to me. I told her that if she didn't love me enough then she needed to hit the road and move on.

You can't help someone that doesn't want help. They need to learn for theirself. Let them do what they want even if you know it's not right.
