Not at all! I had braces too...but I did have them in Elementary school and got them out before Grade Nine. However, there is nothing to be embarrassed about! Tons of people have braces, whether younger or older. Don't worry about it. =D

I do feel embarrasment however when you think how so many people need braces - why does the human body have so many fricken problems? My teeth were bucked - two that stuck right out. xD Braces really helped =D - but man, I hate how the human body has so much wrong with it. Not that it's a major problem to need braces but it means our teeth need to be fixed to avoid future trouble. Stupid human body. -_-
