I'm a really calm person by nature. Stuff that makes my friends freak out and have massive hormone attacks doesn't really bother me. I guess most of them are really overdramatic, but even when I was younger I was just 'chill', for lack of a better term. I'm very independent and don't really like the whole social scene very much, but I'm secretly a huge closet romantic. Like, HUGE. A big mushy pile of goo.
So naturally it freaked me out a little when all of my friends start telling me I act like a guy. ALL the time.
I guess I kind of ignored it at first, but then it started bothering me. Is it weird to be compared to a guy? What does that even really mean? Am I never going to get a boyfriend now?
And then what REALLY freaked me out was the other day when a really close friend of mine said that if I were a guy she would date me. And it wasn't even like, jokingly either. She just said it in the middle of a conversation we were having like it was totally normal. I think it's one of the only times I've ever overreacted about anything, but what do I do? Should I try and act more girly or something? What really constitutes as girly? Or should I just not worry about it?
Thanks to anyone who just read all of that. I know it's annoying. |
