What were you thinking about at the time? I don't believe in signs, there is a logical explaination for everything. From what I can make out, that stabbing pain you felt you get when you are extremely anxious, nervous, or unsure whether you should do something or not.
I get that exact feeling when I have to say a speech in front of the class, or make a choice that can have a lasting impact on my life and I have to think about all the possible consequences. Think of it this way, would you be able to see your friend in the same way after you gave him oral sex? It would probably be awkward between you two afterwards.
