Which I don't understand 'cause it goes againt free will. So does pre-destination.

Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began

Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man... (Although, I realize there's some debate as to whether or not St. Paul actually wrote that part.)

Of course, again, those aren't very common beliefs anymore, but some still maintain them.

I have actually sat through sermons where the ministers teached pre-destination and spoke against women ministers. I don't understand those ministers; they're basically supposed to be knowledgeable with all things concerning the Bible, but they seem to ignore the history surrounding it.

The verses you gave concerning predestination: Generally, when people read those verses in Romans they get two different interpretations. Keeping in mind that God gave us free will, we should get just the one. It might have been just the passion of Paul to express this[the rewards and promises of heaven and believing] to the new Christians and to encourage them to stay strong, but maybe he was meaning this literally. Then it is predestined that those who believe will recieve these "gifts". It is not predestined who will believe though. Also, he's speaking to a group of believers, assuming that they won't stray from their faith[this letter was for encouragement] then it is predestined that they will recieve these gifts. Am I making sense?

And so the bell just rang and I have to go to class. I should be on in a few minites though. Just changing locations.
