Re: speaking in front of a crowd

Try taking some deep breathes before you stand up in front of the people. Then, take a good look at your audience, it might overwhelm you a bit, or it might have the opposite effect. I find that if I do both of those before speaking it calms me down some because I take the time to relax myself BEFORE I start to speak. While you're talking, if you notice that you start going fast or are shaking, take another deep breath or a short pause to regain your composure. It might not be easy, but it helps.

Also, if you read in your head your lines BEFORE saying them alloud it helps because then you already know the material you're reading. :]

Hope at least ONE of those tips helps.
