idk, maybe she's just that kinda person. she realised the guy is a jerk and that there is nothing anyone could do about it. maybe she's just telling you in some way that there is no point in fighting with him when he calls you names and i dont know what else, that its the best to just let him be an asshole and not pay any attention to what hes saying or doing. he wants to make you upset and you shouldnt let him cause its just not worth it.
