i think all she's trying to do is tell you to ignore him when he says stuff which i also think too, he's a bastard so what, let it go just don't let the things he says to you get to you and let them pas sover your head, he's probably saying them at the end of the day to get some sort of reaction out of you , well don't let him

if you want your friend to be more supportive tell her that you can't just ignore what he says and ask her opinion of the guy: if she says he's alright i'm not really bothered about any of this-then she's not btohered about your feelings and isn't a very good mate, if howver she says something like he's an idiot no one likes him but you should just ignore the things he says-then she does care and just because she doesn't let her feelings show about this guy it doesn't mean she doesn't want to cut his bollocks off either
