I love books, but I've had so little time for reading recently. Mostly I only have time to do homework and go to school and piano lessons. And when I do read it's mostly non-fiction, because I love to learn and research.
Anyway, I'll try to talk about what I've read anyway. This one isn't so recent but I LOVE it, I think it is probably my favorite book of all time. It's called The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K. LeGuin, and it's sort of a weird sci-fi/fantasy/freakishness kind of book. The plot is really interesting and compelling but it also gets deeply philosophical (LeGuin is a Buddhist/Taoist.) The premise is really simple and at first you think "Well, that's not very original" but by the book you're completely wowed by how beautiful and new it is. And the characters are so compelling--especially the Aldebaranians and Orr's therapist (I'm not going to tell you who the Aldebaranians are, 'cause I hate spoilers

Suffice it to say they ain't from around here.)
Yeah, this is the kind of book I rave about. I'm probably not presenting it that well. But try it, seriously. It may not feel like your kind of book but I hated it the first time I tried to read it and loved it the second time.
(For those who are not easily wowed by inner-hidden-deeper-secret-meanings, yes, it *does* have sex.)
