i agree!! i moved countries about 2 years ago and when i used to live in the uk; my parents and everyone elses parents used to allow their children to drink with them in a healthy manner.
now i dont feel the need to get out of hand; or to drink behind my parents back to be rebellious.
ultimatley; [sp??] if you are not allowed to do something; you are going to eventually do it just to rebel. and ive also realised that when i do this with other things- i do it excessively. which is not good.
social drinking is a great thing; as long as you stay in control.
