Sorry to butt in, but since you made a pretty ignorant remark about a historical event concerning a second party, I choose to intervene. The Cuban Missile Crisis ended ONLY AFTER US agreed to remove Jupiter missiles from Turkey which could have hit Russia. If the US didn't agree to our demands, there was no way our missiles (which were a generation ahead), would have got away from Cuba. The BM treaty that followed had an agreement that neither countries would deploy nuclear missiles in the other's neighbours.
