Hard to Read

'allo.

So I wrote about this earlier but I have an update. Long story short, I really had a crush on this guy who asked me to come to his pool party.
The party was really fun and I feel like he opened up to me a little bit when we were talking. I was super happy when I left (and I got to give him a hug on the way out).

At school on Monday, I was shocked, because he totally avoided me. I mean, he definitely looked at me, because we sit across form each other in Jazz and we kind of stared at each other. It was totally awkward.
So that night, I decided to IM him on facebook. I said hi, and we talked for a little bit. He asked me what I was up to, and if i was ready for our jazz concert on saturday. And then he said he had to go study for History. (In all, i felt good about the chat.)
Then today, he totally ignored me and didnt look at me at all. When we were the first people to get to Math, I said "When does this class start? Isn't everyone late." And he was like "yeah," and then walked outside onto the balcony of the math room.
It was just really awkward.
I want to start talking to him more, because I really really like him, but I have no idea if he Really really likes me or really really doesnt. I mean i dont think his feelings towards me are ambivalent because of the awkwardness.

Also to keep in mind, when he invited me to his party (that had 3 girls at it) we were only acquaintances (not friends at all).

Do you guys think he likes me? Are we ready for a date? And why isnt he talking to me or responding to me? Is it weird for girls to make the first move?
AGH
i just want him to talk to me. gr
