Reconnecting After Rejection

About a month ago, I asked a girl out on a Thursday, and she said yes. That Monday, should told me she thought it was really weird and said she only thought of me as a friend. I don't think she really valued our "friendship", as honestly I never thought of her as a friend, and more as a possible romantic interest ever since I got to know her.

Anyways, we haven't talked since that day she rejected me. I really want to talk to her, I just always tell myself that it's too early or that I don't have anything interesting to say. I definitely still want to pursue a relationship with her, and I'm also quite convinced that she did want to when I asked her out, and possibly even at the moment. I think she may have been doing that staring contest kind of stare today at me, which I pointed at her, although she may have been looking at someone else.

Is there any advice you can give me on how we could reconnect? We were quite flirty together before I asked her out, but both of us are "green" (not sure if anyone knows that term), as neither of us have any experience dating and dealing with these... situations.

Anyways, any insight and opinions are appreciated.
