It can also be called Anorexia Athletica. I agree, however, that what she is experiencing is indeed a valid disorder. Especially being underweight.

I have never been diagnosed as having Anorexia or Bulimia Nervosa but I am an anoretic (BMI of less than 17.9 and irregular or no menstruation). I dont binge, purge, or starve. I spike my blood sugar up extremely high to produce ketones to lose weight and I have been diagnosed with Body Dysmorphic Disorder.

This is something I am definitely trying to work on with my life, and I am all for supporting anyone who needs help.
