I've always thought of God as a sense of hope, as a force of nature, something we have no right to put a face, or a color on.
Also, God isn't someone waiting on our prayers so he can go about fixing our lives.

I've often thought of that.
But you also have to turn it around, and ask, how did WE let the world become what it is? That blame can't be cast upon an idea of God.
I'm religious, I believe in God.
I think there' too much unexplained in the universe and too much of our minds left unused for me to completely denounce the possible existence of a higher power.
But God can just as easily be things like confusion, and anger in my mind also, not just Hope.
But if we take Einstein's approach, he says darkness does not exist, only the absence of light. Despair, anxiety, and fear are the absence of God?
