His "reasoning" involved just about ever cheesey break-up line you can think of.
"I think we were better off as friends"
"I'm just not ready for a relationship at the moment"
"It's not you, it's me"
"We should just be friends for now"
"I need some time"
"I've a lot going on right now and I just can't deal with having a girlfriend"
etc.

I asked him bout that last one there and said since we're "still friends" he can tell me what's going on but he just went "I don't tell my friends everything!"
So basically he didn't give me a reason =(
