I probably don't belong in this thread, but I can't help but post.

Lately I've been thinking a lot and seeing a lot of things that cause me to have these thoughts, and this thread is just contributing to it even more. I wish I could be a "daddy's girl" as you put it, but in my almost 18 years, I've never once even met my father or had any type of communication with him.

So yes, your father maybe overprotective, but it's because he cares about you. Keep that in mind. You're lucky to know your father and have one that cares about you.

If it really is driving you crazy maybe you should try talking to him and letting him know that he can trust you to be responsible and not get into trouble.
