I can't say I agree with you, but it's only an opinion, whatever works for you. I don't think it's the smartest idea in the world to block them out, some people are really shallow to want to hate a person they once loved just because things didn't work out like planned.

I can't say I hate any of my ex's and I'm friends with most of them, but really the only thing you can do to get over the feelings is just give it time.

Doings things like pretending they're not there, ignoring them, getting rid of material items is just trying to fill the hole faster, you have to accept the terms of reality. The only thing that can fill that hole is time.
