Maybe you should try doing some group dates and such with a bunch of your friends until you feel more comfortable around your female counterparts. Maybe after you get more comfortable you can try single dates and such. You can't just leave a girl hanging if she asks you to hang out or something though, otherwise she's going to think you're not attracted to her.

Girls aren't these alien creatures that you like to think of us as, we're just the same as you boys... Other than the anatomy and such. Going to the movies doesn't mean you're going to have to get married to the girl and such, so just think of it as hanging out with another one of your friends!
