That is a dangerous thing to do, to take barbiturates without medical supervision. Clonazepam is made of lorazepam, which is an anti-depressant acting on the central nervous system and it can cause addiction to your mother if she uses it without consulting a doctor. And its illegal or sell such drugs without a prescription as they are Schedule D Drugs in most countries.

Your mother seems to be suffering from a severe case of depression. It will be best if you could get her to visit a psychiatrist, preferably a female one (male one is okay though). He/she will counsel and give medications if required which need to be taken as per dosage and it'll ensure her getting well.
And don't try self medication, its a dangerous thing to do, you don't want your mother dead because of a mistaken overdose of lorazepam which could shut down the entire central nervous system. In fact I have come across cases like this but they were mostly suicidal (and
could be mistakes, we can't be sure of intentions)
