Like any other infection it can return. I'd not worry about it much but the hot dude is where you got it and the more you make out the more likely you are going to get it.
He could only pass it on for a day or two so it was just bad luck.
You can't feel bacteria. Your throat is probably a little swollen still and it should go away.
