Should we have a help and support ticket + Live chat system for teens seeking help or advice?

Not many teens want to post their problems publicly? So why not goto support system and make a ticket or live chat with one of our Mentors(Helpers and Advisers) ?

What do you think about this idea?

There users can use the same login that they do here on teenhut.net . It will be situated at something like teenhut.net/help

This system has a Knowledgebase and tickets tracking aswell. Users can login and check their previous tickets made aswell. They are notified via email when they posted a support ticket and when one of our mentors posts a help. They can talk back till issue is resolved. This works like a private forum thing but only all the mentors and admins can check this and the user seeking help, not everyone.

A live chat system is an addon, where is mentors are online, someone can go and assist the user with help, via live chat directly.

This whole system is priced at $40/month

Sure, but I think that there should be some sort of test, or proof of responsibilty for all applicants who wish to become Mentors.

Also, there needs to be a way to determine genuine seekers of advice from the idiots who will come on just to waste time and ask if it's "normal to have an eight inch penis at seven years of age" and crap similar to that.

That's the point. Sometimes you just have to be their mother. Like the drunk buddies brochure at the local pub said. Sometimes you'd just have to be a bitch to be nice.

Hmm....We can have a voting poll. But I am not sure if implementing this would be any good. Will require other members to speak about this also.

It only depends if we are really gonna have teens using this feature. I don't want to spend $40 a month where no body would be interested.

i'd be a mentor

and i think teens would use this feature .. because there's some people who come and want an answer but some people can't be there right away, and a lot of teens come here and don't even post, so maybe this'll increase that too?

The support tickets used won't be counted as posts as they will be on another script but addon to teenhut like at teenhut.net/help or teenhut.net/support. We will place the links to chats and support things from our forums.

And maybe mentors when helping, can tell that the teen hut forums is a great community and has really nice and great members, you can also take help there and see what others think of the matter. etc etc.
