There wasn't even any drama in there recently... I just got infracted out of spite cos someone else did so they decided to sieve through old posts to find something to infract me on...

All unfair... Seeing that no one has started anything recently in there.

Lana, that is not the point. Obviously the post that you made was infraction-worthy and this means things go on in that forum that aren't infracted until they're reported and another moderator has to give a profile infraction. It doesn't matter when something is committed, action still needs to be taken. If somebody stole something but it didn't come to the Police's attention for a few weeks they would still take action. Being fair means treating everybody the same, and obviously if infractions aren't being given (when we know that they are recquired) then something is going on.

When infracting we don't wait for a person to jump up and shout, "I took offence to this." I agree that it was probably done out of spite but what you said was still offensive. Unfortunately nothing was done about until the time that it was reported.

Take my rubbish stealing analogy again. Someone out of spite may have given evidence to the police when before they weren't going to but the police will still need to take action despite the motive of the person who gave the evidence. Of course they would also want to know why the person was only giving the evidence now and not before.

It may be the internet but what is posted on it can be hurtful to others and lets people from all over the world see that. What happens to people on the internet can be serious.

We haven't fueled her spite and rewarded her for it, we've acted appropriately to a reported post. Perhaps you should take your own advice of saying "It's the internet" and get over the fact that you broke a rule and have been given an infraction.

Moderators/Admins are charged to enforce the rules as they see fit on each individual basis. The matter of your infraction is not going to be discussed anymore.

This thread is for members to be able to present their feelings on the temporary closure of GP and not a place to rant about infractions.

This is incredibly unfair.

From what I can see, the drama there is predominantly caused by one/two children who need to grow up. Why can't you just punish them? The rest of us haven't really done anything to deserve this.

Also, (and I'm just guessing here which threads you could be refering to) I think the threads you mean were made from someone who is now gone so why take away Girls' Privacy now?

If you think the girl mods aren't harrsh enough on people because of insults made then isn't this thread enough to tell them to act stricter? I think they probs would now....

Agreed.

One of the main problems that happen in GP is when girls leak information, usually only THEN does drama get started because it's supposed to be private postings in there that shouldn't be leaked out. That's typically what causes any drama.

Also, when problematic threads do occur in there, the mods close them so that they won't continue. The mods do take action in there.

Our main problem is information leaks. Things are usually fine until someone leaks something.
