Being bi is 'cool'

This is a topic that pisses me off. At my school, there are a lot of girls that say their bi just so they can get guys.... Anyone have any similar experiences? They're ruining the bi rep.

Yeah. They did that at my old highschool... It was ridiculous, it made a stereotype that bi people don't actually exist, etc... (meaning that all the bi girls were straight, and all the bi guys were gay)

Horrible phase in my old school, even my best friend (isn't anymore) called himself bi to I guess seem more emo? Do t get the logic Beheind bi = emo but anywayy
after he got over his emo phase he said he's straight etc, and gays are creepy hence why I'm no longer friends with him.

Well you are gay in a way if you like to have sex with men, I mean thats the definition of gay. Now granted you like girls too but still your technically half gay.

at our school for about a year being bi was so repramanded... when i left everyone was bi(seemed like it) and it makes ppl like myself who actually are bi not want to talk about it so much because noone takes it seriously now that theres guys/girls pretty much just pretending...it pisses me off too

and to mi friends it seems like being bi or gay is a
trend like skinny jeans lol
gurl just want to fit in so they dress the same
wear the same makeup
talk the same so y cant they be bi together

I've never heard of bi being "cool."

I do think people think that "bi" girls are sexier, for straight guys, because it means they may be willing to "put on a show" with another girl, which would be a plus for any straight guy.

it doesn't really concern you what people say they are/aren't if people don't believe you are bi because of this it doesn't matter. no reputation is ruined.

Girls claim to be bi because it makes them feel uneeks and speshul. It's just 'cause it was so taboo as of recently, but they're ruining how taboo it is. And once that appeal is gone, people will stop.
