But drugs open your mind, and make you think in more deep and profound ways you wouldn't even imagine possible prior to consumptions. There are health disadvantages, yeah, but it's a pretty fair price to pay to feel really good. Cigarettes are retarded, though.

This is only true for some people. There's plenty of people who can open their mind without taking drugs. Most people are just really fucking stupid when they're high, but think they're opening their mind.

The only thing it's fair to say that about, really, are some sorts of drugs. Shrooms aren't bad for you and won't really fuck you up long term, but every other drug will in some way. There are no benefits to smoking cigarettes or drinking any sort of alcohol besides wine (in extreme moderation)

but there is a benefit to drinking alcohol that isn't quantifiable by how good it is for your body per say. the benefit is in the social experience drinking seems to help create. it is the perfect social lubricant. it's a part of the reason it is such a big part of our culture. while drinking one or two beers chilling at home on a Saturday isn't going to have life threatening repercussions.

I can't say much for pot though; it is not my thing. i think that it is much more dangerous to people than most think. and stoner culture to me is absolutely retarded.

If you can't interact in a social setting without drinking, there's a pretty good chance that you have mental problems. Really.

I'm not saying that people can't interact without alcohol. but it certainly helps it along. It just has that effect to turn a good night into a great one in certain situations. it is kind of something you just have to experience to really get. but considering your prejudice against it this is irrelevant to you.

what is the point of living without experiences to live for. drugs aren't the only answer to having a good time i agree. nor do i agree with the use of most drugs for recreation, like hard drugs, smoking, or pills..but being afraid of the negative health effect boogyman because it may shorten your life, while they are many things out of your control doing that already. (hell we could all die tomorrow.) you could be enjoying something in moderation that could enrich your experience.
