Teen Community site (help ; p)

I'm quite sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but I thought this was the most adequate place to post this ^^

I'm searching for an English (American or English(as in from England.. xD) community site for teens : )

It's because here in Belgium we have netlog (I'm not sure if anyone has ever heard about it.. It's quite big and also well known in other European countries..)
And I think it's quite fun to be part of a such a community : ) - checking people out ^^ - talking to everyone, etc ;p

But I'd like to broaden the horizon

, and since English is my second best language, I'd like to find an English speaking community, like netlog..

If you don't really know what I mean, I'm NOT talking about a forum, but really a site where everyone has a profile (and I also don't mean a dating site, that's not really it..), and talks with eachother, on there profile, etc : )

Also not like facebook, because you can't really talk with people you don't know ;p

So enough of my explaining : ) - is there anyone who can point at a certain site?

Well the only ones I can think of that sound like what you said are Facebook or Myspace. Pretty much everyone in England between 13-50 that has the internet uses Facebook, I think Myspace is used more by Americans than Brits now. However if you don't want sites like that then I can't think of any.

I dunno, a large majority if sites for teen discussion are forums. You'd be hard pressed to find something like this as Facebook dominates one of your "requirements" and the one part you don't want, dominates the part you don't.

, netlog is the perfect combination of the two, but it's mainly in Dutch - it's not really a dating site, it's more of a facebook, but not as private as facebook, since everyone talks with everyon ^^

It's like a dating site, without excessive dating, of course a lot of people get to know each other there and start dating, but the main goal isn't dating.
