I dual boot
A modded version of Windows Xp Pro
and
Ubuntu 7.10
mostly I stay on ubuntu unless I'm running a game

On the main desktop, Ubuntu Linux 7.10 with a few virtual machines of Ubuntu 8.04 Alpha running inside that, and on the laptop i have Ubuntu 7.10 too, with the same virtual machines and also LinuxMCE with MythTV. On the old media centre in the living room it's just Xubuntu running MythTV.
And of course, on all the PCs, COMPIZ FUSION!

You can run most Windows applications user Wine, or if that fails, a virtual machine of Windoze if you really must. | |

I actually prefer Vista.. It does what I need and I'd rather have windows than alienate my self with another OS.
