Re: Firefox (HELP)
This may occur on Windows systems if your Web browser is not properly shut down before you power down or restart the computer. Make sure you always close the browser before shutting down or restarting the computer.
Yeah... umm, well. I did "not shut it down properly" last night, but firefox was NOT open... (99% sure about that)
And I kinda skimmed through all that stuff. I've checked the recycle bin and that's it... idk how do do that other stuff.

Re: Firefox (HELP)
i used to know a way to get them back in FF2, not sure about 3.
and as for the stumble thing, the password they give you isnt one you make up, they make one for you themselves.
so check your junk folders?

I don't have 3... Idk which one I have, but I'm pretty sure it's not three.
OHHH. I forgot...
My junk folder says it's blocked... and I went to unblock but I can't click on the options... =\

Re: Firefox (HELP)
System Restore rarely works. It's horribly written. I wouldn't do it. Since the damage has been done, all you can do now is prevention for next time. Record your bookmarks in a text file, which is what I do (I've been in a similar situation as you before, but with Firefox 2). You can try Googling on how to retrieve your bookmarks, but something tells me your profile was wiped clean. Were any of your extensions gone too?

Re: Firefox (HELP)
Uhmmm, you mean like ad ons? If you do, then kind of. They were still there but they like, restarted. (I can't talk about one or I would be more specific)

Re: Firefox (HELP)
Yeah extensions are the same as add-ons. If there is minimal data in your profile folder, which seems to be the case, then somehow it was deleted. How is anyone's guess, but I would suggest either exporting your bookmarks on a regular basis, or copying them to a text file or Word document or something completely independent from Firefox. As much as I love and trust Firefox, I've lost my shit before too, and I decided not to be in that situation again. Luckily nothing has happened since my incident, but I keep my stuff backed up just in case. There's still a chance your stuff can be recovered; I can look into it a bit more when I'm not at work and have more time.

Re: Firefox (HELP)
i forgot to add, i use Safari, bwahahahaha.
and no, once firefox has eaten something or screwed up, i find it easier to just let the program win cause it will in the end.
Unless you have them backed up somewhere, or could possibly do a system restore if you are on XP or Vista. (Good luck with that)
