You can't really make a functional and elegant (cite Jonathan Coulton :P) site without using all 3 - PHP for dynamic scripting, HTML for a UI which is beautified by CSS | |

Well, I'm taking a class now and I'm pretty sure we're learning all three. I don't really know where it differs, we haven't done a whole lot yet...
