Money: 497 | Who's Ready for Windows 7? Id like to share what i heard a while ago.
Apperantly for Billgates eyes.
Window's 7 is going to fix all of the vista bugs.
Sure..
But what exactly is so different about it?
You use touch to drag photos and your mouse.
Or you can plugin a USB mouse and keyboard insted.
Basic other features are just improvements.
The Bad
The number one bad thing about Windows 7 is..
No Backward capability!
So Be careful when you get this system.
That means when you upgrade or get a newer OS. You cant play all other windows version games.
Processors
According to this article.
Windows 7 is the last OS to ship for 32-proccessors.
The Date
Apperantly its set to release at June 3rd, 2009. |

I've been fine with it apart from one hiccup with SP1 but I worked my way around it and fixed that problem so I haven't two clues what you're talking about here.

Anyways the only problem on their part I see is the incompatibility with everything before it. When you have that the Windows users have no reason to keep using it except for the familiarity. But then how hard is it to adjust to Mac or Linux. The main reason people don't switch is because programs are compatible with the others. But if they aren't going to be compatible with what they use ether.....

Unfortunately Mattt, Vista is considered a resource hog, and to be honest, they could've done a lot better with the features it came with. So yes, there's room for improvement. Plus don't forget Vista was supposed to come with WinFS as a replacement for NTFS but it never happened.

Vista was released in 07, which means there's a 2 year gap for 200; don't forget that Vista was supposed to be released at 05 but was delayed, while Vista was a BIG9 change from XP, yet Win7 is a relatively minor release, it's not a rebuild of Windows, it's built on top of Vista. I think the release times are just right. They'll probably hit it better with Windows 7 than in Vista, since they intend to listen to people and improve all Vista was lacking or bad in.

Money: 497 | Re: Who's Ready for Windows 7? Most Likely You would have to Buy the New OS.
Or for Current Vista users U could Upgrade..
As far as i know its not a Service pack..
And there is security Holes in Vista.
User Account control is very awful.
Its way harder to delete certain folders.
You always have to ask for permisson when recyling.
Anyway We will just see what the Beta of it brings!
December 2008 is the Date for the beta. |

Maybe the Windows Upgrade Anytime will let you buy it and upgrade immediately, but no, it's not an update to Vista.

The other problem with vista is I don't understand how I can run Ubuntu with every 3d effect imaginable and still only use 280mb of ram at idle. Or when I start opening up lots of programs a bit more. Most at a time (not installing stuff) is about 500ish mb. While vista requires a couple of gb's of ram to run a few programs at the same time with its 3d.
Then on the other hand you're paying lots of cash for Vista while Ubuntu is completly free.

See that where they get to go out and spend the few hundred bucks, than another few hundred bucks on top of that just to update your computer. Windows XP Pro is by far the best operating system they ever came out with.
And XP is the best for gaming |
