Normally, the title would be self-explanatory, but for this one I'm going to need to explain a bit. And before I go any further this is not about the, sexual act.

So two days ago I asked a girl in my Latin class that had been crushing on me to go with me too lunch today, she said yes and I arranged to meet her just outside the doors that lead out to the parking lot. So I got there and waited 20 minutes before finally deciding that she had blown me off. After that I went to the school library to just read or play on the computer during lunch and saw one of her friends and got her number from her. I asked her about the whole situation and she said she didn't know what had happened.

Now I know she really likes me and I know she's single, but shes also desperately shy. So I've started to think that even though she blew me off it may have been for reasons that aren't cruel; since she may have just been too nervous to do it and bailed.

Finally, my question is what the hell should I say to her when I call (or text) her tonight? I've never been blown off before so I've never had to deal with this situation.

Unless she knows you have her number, I would not text her because she may find that a little creepy... you know what I'm saying?

Yeah normally I would be with you on this one, but school ends today so it's really the only option I have left. Plus I'm wagering her friend has told her that I asked her for it by now. Honestly I do feel kind of stupid for never asking for it before. I'm not trying to be creepy I just want to give her a fair shake, and at least give her the opportunity to explain.

And if all else fails and she thinks I'm a creeper I'll never have to see her again.

For anyone thats following this I just thought I'd report in on the results.

I texted her about eight and asked her what happened, told her I wasn't mad or anything, and told her we should just hang out some time. She responded by apologizing and saying she had already made other plans (which I know for a fact is BS), which does confirm that she was too shy and bailed. And no she didn't think I was a creeper.

I think you should text her, Tell her,her friend gave you her number which she did.
I think the reason why she blew you off was prob because she is shy. If she is shy
then maybe she wouldn't know what to say to you or maybe she isn't comfortable
talking to guys yet. Just text her be a gentleman about it and show her that you
really like her.
