I've liked my guyfriend for 2 years now. He claimed to have liked me in 8th grade and i told him i liked him back but i wasnt ready for a relationship. Last year I only saw him once in the hallways and never saw him again till this year 10th grade. we became closer friends and the feelings that I thought were gone returned, maybe even deeper than before. He told me that before we were to get into any relationship that we should get to know eachother more. I of course didnt mind , it was true even though we were friends we barely knew eachother lol. the conversation ended with a sweet short kiss( it was my first) and starting with the next day we were to hang out and talk. That never happend. Next morning he pulls me aside and tells me that he isnt ready to have a girlfriend and that he doesnt have time due to the amount of school work. But worse he seemed to have blamed me for failing a test. (wtf?) I obviously was hurt and from that day on he barely spoke to me. Ever since we have become so distant and i dont know why but I have strong feelings for him. I want to tell him how i feel but when i ask him that i need to talk to him, he gives me attitude. My friends tell me that i should just forget about him, which i probably should but i cant get rid of these feelings so quickly. I love him. But i dont know what to do anymore, he seems to care more about his homework than the person infront of him. I know that its important to study and all but he takes it to the extreme.

I dont know what to do anymore. I dont seem to exist to him when i pass by and it just plain hurts.

i told the guy i worked with i liked him, and he only likes me back as a friend, and made a excuse that hes getting over his ex girlfriend. but im a "good mate"

guys are so confusing, i just think this guy feels awkward around you because maybe he thinks your 2 year friendship is now broken because you both have feelings for eachother.

In my perspective of what you've told us, it seems like the guy that you "love" is a nerd. I mean, only "nerd" men actually regret things a day later about kissing a girl. Especially that as you have said, before that you guys started hanging out a bit. Now, if he wasn't a nerd then he would justly take advantage of the moment and date you. However, that wasn't the case, instead, he blamed you for failing a test and rejected you in the corner with an excuse of school. Now, I'm not against nerds or anything but I do have nerd friends and I am, myself, a nerd in a way that takes school seriously. Therefore, with that said, I think you should just give him some space because clearly, he cares more than school than you (Sorry).

Or, I could be wrong and this guy of yours could be a jerk and he just told you that he was busy on his studies because bluntly he does not like you and would not want to hurt your feelings or your friendly relationship with him. Either way, chances of having that moment from your first kiss will have to weigh to another person.
