engaged in high school
my friend is engaged and we're seniors in high school, he's known the chick for about a year and half, maybe a bit longer. i think it's a bit silly, personally, what do you think?

how old are seniors? if they've only KNOWN each other for a yera and a half then yea i think that's too soon i wouldn't get engaged to someone unless i lived with them or was planning to very soon, so i guess they've both met each others families and stuff?

hmm well then i'm not sure, 18 seems a reasonable age, young granted but not silly, especially if they're deadly serious about each other. I still say that it's too soon only adfter a year and a half though, but depends on how grown up they both are

Well my friend's 16 and she's engaged - I think it's stupid.
I don't think anyone should get engaged untill they've lived together. You never know what it's like spending so much time with someone until you live together.

That's too young to get engaged, unless they're going to have at least a 2 year(hopefully longer) engagement.
You said they've known each other for a year and a half, but how long have they been together?
When I was a Freshmen in high school my friend(who at the time was 15) proposed to a guy after being with him for a month...

I was engaged in the ending of middle school and the beginning of high school. We didn't make it mainly because I knew it wasn't right and I was far too young. Plus, I had my eye on someone else. I say, it won't last very long.
