So this is a girl I met when I transfered schools. She is amazing, pretty, nice, everything you could want. but, I had bad timing. I flirted with her, but she liked this other guy really badly, and so she wasnt paying attention to my attempts. by the time i asked her out, she had no Idea I liked her, and had only paid attention to my nice friendly nature. So, now, im her best friend.

I really like her. Like, I have since I met her. This just ******* amazing. Nothing wrong about her at all. Nicest person you will meet. I just dont know. She told me, word for word "Jimmy, you are charming, cute, athletic, skilled, strong, nice, a gentleman, fun, funny. I dont know why I dont like you". That just confuses me. And hurts. Its like, what am I doing wrong?

Have you ever had that girl you just cant let go? No matter how hard you try or how much you want to, you cant change how you feel about her and cant stop? Thats what its like. I want to not like her. I really do. but i cant help it.

Its not just because she is pretty. She is the most amazing person Ive met. Like, all our interests are the same, our humor is, the way we talk, our hobbies, our personalities, we know so much about eachother. I dont know. It just seems so right.

I cant make up my mind. There is always that little bit of hope in the back of my head. That tiny voice saying dont give up, maybe someday.......


My point is, what do you guys think? I really like her, but I dont want to ruin our friendship.

A lot of girls feel like once you get to know a guy that well they just can't date you.. that they know everything they can about you without it being a serious relationship.. I dunno.. Thats a tricky situation

i am in the best friends zone with the guy i like
and he is the most amazing guy i have ever met
and yes, he is also the person i never want to let go.

i would pluck up the courage and ask her to go on a date, even if its just over to your place or hers or to the park or out for a walk or to a movie. ect ect.
you will have more one on one time and hopefully she might see you like her.
you have to let her know you do, otherwise she will just think you're best friends.

Same as i said in another thread. You arnt seen as a lover because your not assertive, but they like you and want to be your friend.

Relationships are complicated. If you ever do become her boyfriend, then your friendship may be affected. But for now, all I can say is to have patience. It takes longer to get to the heart of some people. But when you do reach them, the reward is so much sweeter. Don't fret, what's meant to be is meant to be. For now just be there for her and don't kill yourself over whether she likes you or not. Give her time. And if things don't work out in your favor then look elsewhere, the right girl for you might be right around the corner. I hope that helps. I've been in a few love dilemmas myself.
