Need advice on next step!!!!

Hi,
I met this girl a few weeks ago and...well......there is a dance coming up in about two weeks.....I dont really know her that well but we always eat lunch together in school....but anyway i want to ask her out to the school valentine dance but im not sure if im moving to quick...I mean i just met her about two weeks ago and im still kind of shy when talking to her.....what should I do? and for those who havent geussed yet I am a boy.

Just talk to her a little each day but increase how much you talk to her by a little each day. Then when you feel comfortable, ask her.

Bring it up casually, but if you want to go out with her make sure this isn't a 'play date' this is a 'date date' and make it silly like one time some one pulled a:

"Speaking of rock music, that reminds me theres a dance coming up do you want to go with me?"

Wouldn't leave it too late either....She ,might end up going with someone else if you don't ask her in time..Good Luck though I guess..
