Yeah. I agree. I think your mum is just trying to look out for you, but maybe going about it in the wrong way. Sex won't ruin your life if you're happy about doing it, so I think you listen a bit less to what other people are telling you and do what you want to do...

Having sex too soon can screw up your life. What happens if you get pregnant? You can use all the protection you want, but it still happens. Sure, you can get an abortion - which I personally don't agree with - but you will have to live the rest of your life knowing that if you didn't kill that baby he/she would be this age now and he/she would probably be doing this and this.. etc.. and if you keep the baby, it will significantly change your life!

Not to mention, some men are old fashioned and appreciate being the first person to have sex with their future wife.

Having sex doesnt screw life up, the child does, i got sexually active at 10 years old and if anything my sex life has been great and i've never had problems.
As for protection, its a very high percentage, i'm aware it's not 100% because my mother gave birth to me and my sister while on the pill, but i fuck my girlfriend god knows how many times over a weekend without a condom and we're fine as she's on the depo injection.
I'm pro abortion as is my girlfriend, having a child at a young age = stupid, that ruins your life, you can't accomplish half as much because you don't have the time to put into education or work while it's free.
I'm old fashioned in alot of ways, but not when it comes to sex, it's a natural and wonderfull thing, not to be hidden away by prudes.
