I'm dating this boy who's a completely different race from me. Neither of us care about our skin color and religion, but MY parents do.I don't understand WHY they're like that. Seriously, they hate all of my friends because they're not of the same skin color as me, and I don't even WANT to think what'll happen if they found out abut my bf. I haven't told them about my boyfriend, and I don't plan on doing it anytime soon because they won't accept him and it frustrates me that I can't see him any other time than school. It's gotten to the point where I have to sneak out to see him after school! And it doesn't help that I'm not all lovey lovey with my parents...Ugh, I don't know what to do. I wish that they'd accept him...

I hate strict parents, They ruin your teenage life. Some actually care a little too much which is why some teenagers think all their parents are doing is destorying them.. I wish you could have my parents.. They'd understand..
=\ I dunno what to say, Personally if my parents told me I couldn't see someone or be friends with someone without an amazing reason I would tell them to fuck off.. Depending on my mood, Sometimes I'm understanable but seriously, your parents don't like any of friends because of their skin colour. That's a little too ridiculous....
I'm just cruious, how old are you? Cause sometimes depending on your age it can't be that bad cause eventually you can actually leave your parents and stuff and get on with your own life.

I'd say to not tell them, invite him round, they're not going to say anything if he's there. Once he's left yeh they'll probably ask you about it, so just say i'm going out with him..deal with it, and walk away. If you want to see him..go for it. I know i'm definatly atttracted to guys with darker features than me, if my parents dissaproved because of it, I wouldn't give a toss i'd just do it anyway. Seriosly it's your life not theirs live it how you want to.
That's so not right for them to care about that stuff.
Just flat out tell them one day, bring him over and tell them you two are dating and if they can't accept that, threaten to move out and live with another friend or family member because you don't want racists for parents.
17 and they are restricting you from dating?? I thought you would of been 13 or so and I would've understood your parents not letting you date, but thats crazy not letting you see someone you like for who they are, nothing else. Its a good example for others.
If your parents had a good reason for you not date, I'd understand. But in this situation, it seems they are being a little ignorant and racist, which isn't a reason to stop you from dating. I think you should just do what you want.. They are the ones who are wrong here.
