Different Selves
Here's the deal: When I'm on here I can talk to people smoothly, flawlessly, and be very articulative, but when around girls and stuff, I'm a fidgeting and bumbling baboon. Why? I don't understand. Is it a confidence issue or what?

Re: Different Selves
Maybe you're out of your comfort zone? That's what happens when I feel uncomfortable.

Re: Different Selves
Yeah, it is a confidence issue. I know because I used to have terrible self-esteem and I kept thinking that girls would think I was a loser if I tried talking to them, and so I got nervous around them or just didn't talk to them at all.
Get your self-esteem up. Accomplish stuff....meet some goals and eventually you'll feel so good about yourself that you'll go up and talk to sexy girls without even thinking about it.
Oh, another thing that really helps....no matter what people might tell you, NEVER focus on worse-case-scenario. I used to for a long time and it gets you nowhere. If you want to talk to a girl, picture her laughing at your jokes and being interested in what you have to say, not her telling you to get lost.
It works!! Take it from someone who's been there.

Re: Different Selves
Intimidation is a bitch. Just keep hanging out with girls and thinking of things to say. Eventually you will get used to hanging around girls and things will go smoothly.

Re: Different Selves
When it's over the internet it's not quite as upfront as in person, so it's understandable.
I think you just pressure yourself too much to talk to a girl or a person and you get nervous and it takes over you to the point you can't talk or concentrate properly.
Just try not to get too nervous and take it one step at a time.

Re: Different Selves
That's not right. Ladies should be treated like they're ladies.

Re: Different Selves
You don't have to think of someone else that their not to feel comfortable because then you get used to seeing them differently than you would really see them. Just keep talking to different girls until you get comfortable.

Re: Different Selves
The reason it's easier on here is because you can think, and then type a well thought out answer, real life is more on the spot, you have to have quick responses to hold a conversation. Just keep spending more time with girls, it'll come easily enough after a while.
