I think what alex is trying to say is that the girl is more likely to be creeped out because they have been friends for years. He's in the 'friends zone' if you like; and a few complements and 'loving' her isnt gunna get him out...

Oh and the reason guys shouldnt take advice off girls is because girls are primarily looking for friendship (in my exp. anyway). No good if you want a gf.

haha, well it didnt seem like he was trying to say that.
buut i guess you're right robb.
i mean i have a few guy best friends that i use to have crushes on when i first met them, soo if they all of a sudden told me they loved me, yeah, i'd be creeped out too.

buut it still doesnt mean that they shouldnt keep their feelings inside.
