My bestfriend is my girlfriend now

I've been best friends with this girl for about a year and a half now, and we finally started dating. I'm absolutely crazy about her. She's beautiful, smart, and fun to be around. But we have a problem. Every time I want to do something like kiss her or play around with her, things get sort of awkward and I can't make a move. I want to be closer to her, and I feel like if I don't then she'll lose interest and move one. What can I do? I don't want to lose her.

That what it was like when me and my best friend started dating. He actually ended up asking me if he could kiss me after bout a month and a half =P So yeah, take it slow and maybe talk to her about it. She'll understand that you're nervous and probably feels the same.

i think you should ignore all of these blatantly unexperienced people.

the real way to get through to her is by just making a move straight away.

try first by slipping a finger into her whilst doing something normal such as watching a film.

if she pulls away, push it in harder.

slap her if she disagrees.

always works with me

my girlfriends always end up bleeding, but its worth it for the fun i have.

Just take is slooooow. You've got something that most people wish for and never get. Don't lose it. Just start by kissing her on the cheek or the neck when you hug her.

If it's any consolation, my best friend made the first move on me (yes, I'm in your little lucky club

), she was my first kiss (first everything else really too), and I was bricking it. It was fine.

The only time I've been REALLY scared was when we started taking it further. I was embarassed I'd do something she didn't like or whatever, but we took it slow, about 6 months of fooling around before we went all the way, and it was fine. Obviously my first time my hands were shaking like a bitch, but yeah.

Talk to her about it maybe? I find that works with alot of things

This same situation happened to me and many others prolly. Now me and my ex arent even friends anymore. But back to your situation, what Rollingrightinuit said is exactly what I did. It seemed very romantic to me and her because its the way we are I guess, but saying "Can I kiss you" is prolly the best way, If you say it right its irrestiable (sp?)
