Let me give you some background before I say anything:

I just finished my first year being homeschooled (as a high school freshmen--I'm now a sophmore). During my 8th grade year, there was this guy who always made me laugh during class but we never really talked in person, just online. I admit, I had a bit of a crush on him, but I was 95% certain he had a crush on me, too. So after 8th grade, I switched from public school to homeschooling and most of my old friends stopped talking to me. I haven't talked to anyone for almost a year from school, and it's been hard, but I've been getting over it. Now, here's my problem.

So I just sat down about an hour ago and checked my email, when suddenly an email from the guy I liked pops up and in the subject says "How's It Going". My blood pressure shot up and I sat there so shocked to have just received an email from one of my old friends, let alone him! He's not really shy around his friends, but we were always really shy around each other. Like I said, we only really talked online through AIM. It feels awesome to have gotten an email from him, since he emailed me out of no where, so I really, REALLY don't want to mess up when I email him back.

I can tell us emailing back and forth won't go on very far because I always run out of things to talk about! And I don't want to keep saying stuff I've been doing, because I think it's sort of rude to just talk about yourself. So please, if you could give me some advice and topics to talk about with him, I would greatly appreciate it! Remember, he's SHY, so nothing too dramatic! I would really like to continue our friendship and maybe even do things together with him someday, but I just really think I'm gonna mess this up. And it's probably my last chance! Please help if you can! Thank you!!!!!!

Well usually convo wit sum1 u get on wit well jus flows easily :P
talk about anything
at first how he is gettin on , how is he , any news, hows school, hows the love life,
then u cud talk a bit bout u , as he wil prob return d q after u ask him one , n after that u wil prob hav brought up a topic from those qs that u can drag ou into a good convo

You know, you could always copy/paste the e-mail he sent you, replacing some e's with 3's and o's with 0's, and then we can have a better idea on how to respond.

Or you can just reply to his e-mail point by point.

OR... You could try meet up with him occassionally. I'm a bad convo myself, but I rarely run out of convo ideas when I'm in person with someone :] maybe you'd be the same.
