Okay I am a 18 year old guy and I haven't had a girlfriend since 7th grade... I always told myself just wait till your in college to get a girlfriend but recently I quit WoW (World of Warcraft) which I have played since 8th grade and it took a HUGE amount of my time. So now that I have my life back I want to get a girlfriend but lol eh... I am very shy around the ladies.. like really really shy There is this girl in my gym class that I like but lol I am too shy to talk to her, she is always with a friend but still even if she was by herself I prolly wouldnt have enough nerve to talk to her... I have always been shy around girls my whole life and lol I am just looking for some advice on what I should do. Thanks

Just go up and talk to her when she on her own. If you havn't talked before then just sort of introduce yourself, then just ask whats up and take it from there.

If you never even talked to her but you like her, make sure she is single, or else if your hitting on her and she is not but you never asked if she was or not, then your screwed and gonna be in shit.

So talk before you make a move.

I'd have to say ... you're probably shy BECAUSE you played WoW so much ... but let me put it this way ... you probably weren't antisocial on WoW, were you? Think of how you'd initiate a conversation on there (besides the whole "LFG, WTB/WTS/WTT, can you heal/tank/dps?" ... I mean actual conversations ... like say with your guild if you had one)

Same concept basically. The difference here is that you're no longer hiding behind a monitor. Which can be quite intimidating ... but you know ... hey if you were able to start up a conversation with that belf pally, you can strike up a conversation with that girl.

That's the best I can do because there really is no other way to go around this then going up to her and talking to her.

but yeah, dude, just go talk to her. nothing wrong with that, even if you get turned down, at least that adds to your experience and later you can not make the same mistakes you did.

I think the only thing to do is get over your nerves and go up and talk to her.
I know, it sounds rather harsh, but just do it.
I used to be rather shy myself, but I've recently come out of my shell, and life is pretty cool when you're not afraid to just... be yourself and talk to people.

The other alternative is to contact her on msn, AIM, e-mail, or something like that.
That's what I've done in the past, and still do. =p
The only problem with that, I find, is it's a little impersonal and it's hard to read people over the computer.
But especially if you've been playing WoW (Nothing against it. =p), the computer might be a great place to start.

dude, be confident. make sure your well kept, comfortable. and go for it. its better to have to tried, than to always look back and wish you did something. you like her, go for it.

Probably on of the best decisions you will ever make in your life. You have been playing it for like 4 years and isolated yourself, its understandable your really shy. I dont think just walking up to chicks is a good idea, try to make some friends that are girls first so you get used to talking to them.
