How to beat the Awkwardness

So I just got a boyfriend...we are both newbies and both quite uncomfortable...mostly because he is uncomfortable and that makes me more uncomfortable....It's just wierd because I'm not sure he even knows how to flirt...lol
How can I make him loosen up? Any ideas?

First word of advice, don't become someone's girlfriend/boyfriend until the awkwardness has subsided! Usually hanging out, going on casual dates, and just learning things about each other helps the awkwardness go away.

yeah i mean you both like each other just start doin little things like hold his hand or just randomly hug him from behind or something if you start doin little things like that hell become more relaxed around u and do the same things back

i have the same problem. We're planning on going to the movies together though. you can cuddle and you dont have to say much =P I can never think of topic starters ^_^;

ok my ADVICE to you is you should really try and get to know the person and get over that awkward stage before you date them..Or if your just awkward because your now dating this person...Try talking about him..asking him what he likes etc...and then switching the topic over to you so you'll start talking and getting to know eachother..if your close enough to this guy( if you've been friends for a while) then talk about Anything that you'd think would be appropriate(RANDOMNESS

and i'm sure hed "loosen up" and begin to talk...and like ive seen others have posted, hold hands,hangout on weekends with eachother, and the hugging randomly from behind helps
