my boyfriend's never called me darling....thank god.
the best way to find out is to call her darling one time and see how she reacts. I personally would give my boyfriend the weirdest look if he said it to me seriously.

Oh but anything that suits you both. Its not a very big deal, and 7 months is long enough for her to not mind these things, if she might, she'd tell you. Everyone has different views and opinions...depends on your gf

I never realised how big an issue it is. I get called darling and sweetheart by lads i'm not even dating and the ones i am dating start saying it from the beginning so i've never seen it as a big deal but i'd say 7 months is definitley long enough.

i dont really think there is a time limit before you can start calling you gf names. i think its whenever you feel comfortable. by the sound of it you dont sound as if your comfortable calling her darling or sweetheart cause you made a thread about it
