I've told three girls that I like them (but never actually asked them out) in my life. Here's what happened. I changed the names to keep them private:

Girl one: Over Facebook Messaging:

Me: Jessica, do you have a bf?
Jessica: no... why?
Me: I kinda like you

2 days later

Me: I knew you wouldn't answer me if I said that
Her: sorry, it was just kinda surprising
Me: oh no it's okay
Her: Alrighttttt
Me: Okay then

We didn't really talk again after that


Girl two: Over MySpaceIM

I had liked this girl in the 4th and 5th grade, and I have her on Myspace. I IMed her so I could finally tell her that I liked her. (She lives in Louisiana now) She said that she knew I liked her the whole time, however, she didn't say whether she liked me back. We didn't really talk again after that.


Girl three: Over Skype (lol)

I really don't remember exactly what happened, but she said she only likes me as a friend afterward. We still talk to each other in school and stuff without it being awkward lol


So I'm asking you guys whether I should give up on looking for a girl, after all this. Three times I've tried and failed, and this is in a row.

why are you telling them you like them??

No, he's saying that giving up and sitting in the dark for the rest of his life would be suited for playing WoW. That doesn't mean everyone who plays WoW does that, but it does mean that (stereotypically) most people who "give up and sit in the dark" do play WoW. It's like saying that a person who cuts isn't necessarily emo, but if one were emo, cutting would be suited for their lifestyle.

I actually was literally best friends with all three of these girls, until I told them this. And my personality isn't suited for flirting. And Jodecca, I wasn't expecting them to like me back, I just wanted to let them know. The main part was the "ignoring me afterward" part. But thanks for the "good" advice I've gotten, I will continue.

Never tell a girl straight up that you like her. Girls don't like that. They like the whole dramatic teasing/flirting business. Personally, so do I.

Don't be stupid. Flirting isn't a personality thing; it's a natural, instinctive thing. Of course, there are people who have personalities that make it come more naturally to them, but everyone can and does flirt.You said that you "failed" all three times in a row at "looking for a girl." Obviously you weren't just informing them.
