Read if: You are gullible, incapable of reason or devoted to a religion

As said in the title, this thread should be read by anyone who is:
-Gulible
-Incapable of logical thought and reason
-Fervently supportive to a religion
-Hopelessly consumed by some sort of faith
-Incapable of closing one's mouth while incapable of opening one's ears

News Alert. Startling finds from all over the world!

Scientists funded by private investors have concluded that governments cause cancer, particularly those nasty, liberal European ones. Taxes in any form as well as social welfare in any form have been proved carcinogens by privately funded "scientists". Furthermore, anyone suffering from this sort of government cancer has a 100% mortality rate in the first 100 years. Of all cancer sufferers in Europe born in 1900, none have survived until 2007. Conclusive proof that governments cause cancer. Additionally, taxes have been found to shorten life expectancy by a great amount. Everyone born in 1850 that was born into a government has died by 2007. Abandon government and social welfare before its too late!

Additionally, a deity has been observed in the Canadian forests darting about and bringing small woodland creatures back to life. Surely this is a sign of the impending Apocalypse. The deity was interviewed by reporters and instructed his followers to go into the streets and pronounce that the Apocalypse was nigh. Furthermore, the deity instructed that every believer damm everyone who does not share his faith in order to be ensured a place in heaven. Additionally, the deity demanded that everyone buy stocks. When asked how the followers would know that it was their deity, the deity said that they would know because he[the deity] would visit the in the form of a burrito, pancake, waffle, snuffle or any other ambiguous and largely subjective format. He then vanished into a cloud of superstition and nonsense.

Lastly, contrary to the lies put forth by the scientific community, a panel of holy priests have stated that the moon is indeed made of cheese. They claim that the scientific community, greedy to amass large amounts of cheese, lied to the people by saying that the moon is composed of silicates and oxides. It is in fact made from high quality Roman Cheese that will remain preserved until it is tapped. The panel has encouraged every conspiracy theorist and local idiot to build rockets in order to stake claim to the lunar cheese. Since property laws regarding cheese are fuzzy at best, it is possible to claim as much as you can before having to file paperwork.

Too many words.
All I know is that the word gullible isn't in the dictionary

Perhaps it is, but then again its a special dictionary I use.
Come now futureNavyPerson, its all in good fun. Unless of course it strikes a chord, in which case it may be more true than it lets on.

Excuse you? Are you seeking an arguement?

This reminds me of economics. In economics, there are things we call fallacys. For example, the fallacy of composition states that what is good for one is not always good for the majority. You sir(ma'am?) are trying to employ the association-causation fallacy. That is, you are argueing that just because one thing happened, it must be related to something else.

Please note that your arguement has been disproved by one of the very people you are attempting to make fun of. In the future, I advise you not to pick fights when your arguement is so, forgive me, weak.

Re: Read if: You are gullible, incapable of reason or devoted to a religion

This reminds me of this awful talk I once had with this unpleasent fellow. But if I proceeded to include a lengthy and totally irrelevent personal experience, I should surely put people to sleep.
I should like to state that this thread was started as an attempt at silliness. I was quite sure, now is seems falsely sure, that no one would be so utterly fitting of the stereotypes listed in the title as to begin an argument regarding my comments.

If you want to state something irrational, use one of the other topic areas. This is the DEBATES area. If you don't want something debated, don't post here! You opened a debate and got your tail kicked. Trying to pass it off as a joke is a desperate attempt to make yourself look better. However,in your second post, you said: "Come now futureNavyPerson, its all in good fun. Unless of course it strikes a chord, in which case it may be more true than it lets on.". This tells me you did indeed wish to use what you said to insult religon- which, by the way, is banned.

This is what we call "giving atheists a bad name." We also call this "somebody who has WAY too much time on their hands."

Oh, I can isure you he knew he'd be kicked from the start. This is his idea of a joke, if you want to even call it a joke.

This is indeed called the debates and discussions, yet from my observations I have seen far less debate and discussions that I would have liked. Indeed, this trhead can be seen as a microcosm of this sub-forum. One fellow with intentional irrationality and intentional incoherence and another with un-realized irrationality and incoherence.

I am wounded. You do not think this is a joke of supreme calibure? Surely this is the most supreme joke int he entire world. The best joke created by the best circumstance provided by the best of times.

Again, when someone defeats you at debate, you try to pass it off as a joke on your part. Laughable, but desperate.

I wonder, where ever did you get the idea that I was an atheist?

As I said before, this was never a debate. This was a fellow, in this case the fellow is myself, trying to make another run in circles. And it seems my objective has been reached. Nevertheless, why would you think, apart from its location in the forum, that this thread regarded a debate or a discussion?

You're around five posts in and you've already made a fool of yourself.

For the record: Posting long, irrelevant, and pitiful remarks won't carry you anywhere here.
Far less debating than you would have liked? Well, this is surely the way to turn that around, isn't it? (Yes people this is sarcasm)

I can already tell that the most ignorant debaters on this forum are going to have a field day with you.
