A teenage life can be fun and exciting. During this phase, young teenagers start exploring the exciting world without noticing that they are still a little teenager of probably the age near thirteen to fifteen. Drinking Alcohol and driving seems to be a new activity teenagers have begin to explore. This is one of the most dangerous activities that they are heading to which must be stopped.
Teenagers often want to be alone and no bindings on them. Doing the dangerous and prohibited activities like drinking and driving sounds exciting to them. They want to do anything they like and this results in drunk driving.
You might be aware of the statistics on teens and drunk driving. Teenagers are anxious to drink alcohol and to be honest, majority of them have poor driving skills. This is definitely heading towards a disaster.
Every teen is gets tempted to drink since his/her friends are doing so. They want to look cool and funky. And what more adds to it is driving car in that situation. Most of the Teenagers today are into alcohols and own a driver's license.
I got a big dose of reality when my friend got involved in similar kind of alcohol related incident. He and his friends went had were living alone, separate from their parents, like most of the teenagers want. One night, they drunk badly and drove car fast to look cool. They had never imagined to what they were heading for, an excitement? or *****?
They met with a bad accident and the whole car dashed into the truck. The front seaters in front lost their lives on spot and the back seaters were alive but in a very serious condition. My friend is still alive but in a situation even worse. He lost his arm and he feels sorry for it.
Drunk Driving is some kind of activity that relates to Excitement but yet so dangerous that can even take your life away forever. And feeling sorry afterwards will earn you nothing.
Therefore, I say that if you are concerned about yourself and your parents, avoid driving after alcohol. Take alcohol in limits and don't over do yourself or simply avoid it.
Amen to that. We really need to drive this home to active teens: drinking too much alcohol is stupid and driving while drunk is doubly stupid. I have lost a friend too due to his insistence to ride a motorcycle after a drinking bout. Alcohol dulls the senses, warps perception, and slows a guy's reflexes so there is just no way anybody could drive better while drunk.
I had a good friend back in high school. He was a great guy with lots of friends and he's actually quite popular. Everybody loves him for his personality and his gentle soul. One night, he went out with 2 of his good friends for dinner. On their way home they met an accident. His body was thrown from the back of the car to the car shield. Our place was very peaceful and people barely wear seatbelts here. His body was found on the street. His brain was found everywhere. The drunk teenagers were killed too but thankfully two of my friend's friends got away with just a few bruises. My school mourned for him for more than a month. Everybody was shocked with the news and I could barely accept the fact that my good friend had just died. When I think about it now, it still saddens me. May he rest in peace.
Teens that do this have absolutely no regard fro themselves or others around them. With all of the accidents and all of the groups against teens driving drunk you would think we might think twice before doing something so damn foolish. If your intention is ever to drink and then drive home try to bring a friend that will talk some sense into you. Too many innocent people die due to drunk driving.
A pretty high school girl from my neighborhood got killed 2 weeks ago. Can you believe it? I actually know her and she's very cheerful and sweet. Do you know what led to her death? Two teenage guys speed racing near the school. When she crossed the street around 6:30 pm, these 2 cars came rushing down the street and hit her.
I bet they've got a beer or 2 inside them or maybe a joint each. Drunken or drugged drivers are even more dangerous to other people than themselves. Teens should be aware of that 'cause saying sorry can't get people back from the dead.
