Okay, so 3 or 4 people make a blog or website on how they didn't like Britain and you throw every American under the bus? There's over 300 million people in the United States. I'm pretty sure that not all of them hate Britain. And I'm pretty sure not every single American that visits Britain dislikes it. Everyone I've ever met that has gone there either plans to go back or plans to live there one day. So stop acting like the UK is so persecuted.

For example not all people like certain foods, same with americans over liking Britain.

Have you read that blog? It is owned and sponsored by a Senator. And since he started all this anti-UK stance and anti-multiculturalism stance, he won the election against a formidable opponent. Now, in a democracy majority votes puts a candidate to power, unless of course in US it is otherwise.

Votes and elected representatives are a better indication of public opinions than the factually empty statements you make, doll.

Overall? Where do you get a figure to make a judgement on 'overall'? Are you stupid or what?

He's an ignorant ass, then. I'm just saying that it's hard to whittle down a lot of opinions into one group of people's opinion, you know? I personally would kill to visit the UK and stay for a month or so. If I had the resources or the time. And I know a lot of people who have gone and enjoyed it, had a good time and want to go back. I guess it's hard to gauge everyone's opinion on it.

The psychology of every human is different. Logically, considering we aren't mass produced by General Electric or McDonalds, we will always be unique. However if we have to take the general, we cannot afford to take the specific. We have to consider majority and popular opinions instead of every single person's views as an individual. By this popular opinion, the Americans see Britian no better than the way Russians see Kazakhstan today. Perhaps a little better but not much.

As I said, your personal opinion doesn't reflect public opinion.

It is not hard to guage popular opinion on it. I know a lot of Britons who visitied America and they can easily assess the American view of Britian. One Briton friend of mine even quipped, "America must be the only place on earth where they should give a sickbag after you get off the plane". Pretty sums up, I must say. Someone who visitied Britian is more likely to have a connection with Britian or like Britian so their opinion is going to be in favour of UK. It is like asking a man who has an appendix surgery, if appendix is a good thing or not.

On a different note, there are about 300 million Americans who reside in US. To assess that they feel positive about Britian and most of them have been to England we have to assume 150+ million have visited England in their lifetimes. Now if I were to look at their passports, would I find 150+ million have British immigration stamps on them? Would I even find 150+ million Americans who have passports?

That site is quite clearly tongue-in-cheek, and as a Briton myself, I thouroughly enjoyed it, say what, old fruit. There should certainly be some more tongue-in-cheek xenophobia in the world, who knows, it's so crazy it might just bring us all together!

And isn't the american girl stereotype the idea that 'Like, OH MY GOD, the British accent is SO cute!'

These people don't need statistics. All they need is one of them to make a statement and the rest will be like, "OMG, how awful this is! London must be a pathetic place!". You can see an example of this herd mentality here. You might note that when I post a source it gets thrown away while an ignorant statement made by an American becomes and 'OMG" level fact. This is how American mind works, I have enough experience with them.

Whoever did it, did the right thing as insults and abuses aren't allowed. This is not America, you can't insult members and claim "freedom of speech". This is an online forum.
