i voted yes absolutely. i believe that women should have the same rights as men and be treated equally. i don't see why they should be treated any differently. people are people regardless of sex, race, religion, handicaps, etc.

I'm male. I don't consider myself a feminist, but I do believe that women should have the same rights as men, and that what has been done to women in the past is wrong. But I also believe that the feminist movement is very dangerous. There is a fine line between a feminist who wants equality between sexes and one who wants women to be more powerful than men.

No, not at all.
The goals and meaning of feminism has changed drastically since its origins. Feminism once faught for women's equality, but now it seems to be forming many anti-male policies. Take affirmative action, for example. If women are completely equal on all levels with men, the what are the needs for such programs?
I believe that the feminists of today can find something better to do.

that was then, this is now. feminism is the belief that women are equal to in every way men. too many people associate feminism with that 70s stereotype: "Men are evil!!!!! Women r00l!!!11!!" That might have been trendy back then, but that's not what real feminism was ever about and is not today.
yeah, I could look at the feminists from the 70s and see a difference in what I just stated, but this isn't the 70s, is it?

Oh really? Examples? Women should be equal to men on all levels. Still today, that doesn't quite mean that they are. Hence affirmative action.
