There are a lot of Christians who take the Bible as mere interpretation. There are very good values to lead your life by, one really can't debate its a good thing to steal, kill, cheat on your spouse, a lot of the values of the Bible mirror our own laws as a society, these reformed Christians are quite open to the idea that the Bible probably isn't exactly how things went down 2000 years ago, but the teachings are still there.

Regardless of what you believe in I think we can all agree that living a good life is what is most important.

I totally agree with you. I've been told that I am ignorant because I don't believe in the Bible. People have told me that I just don't understand it and haven't read it, when in fact I have, and a lot of my family is quite religious.. I think it's ignorant to assume that a person is ignorant for not believing in the same God that they believe in. I also think it's ignorant to assume people of faith are dumb.

Considering God exists no longer makes you an atheist; you're now agnostic. I am atheist and as such do not believe a God, or a higher power of any kind exists. I do not entertain the idea either. However, with that being said, I don't criticize nor put down those who do.

Furthermore, I find it funny that someone who claims life has meaning (Snake), believes there is no God. If there is meaning to life, doesn't that imply there is some kind of higher power, in one form or another, out there somewhere?

He never said God created the universe. I think you like to put your own spin on what people say.

But on that note, I believe life has some sort of meaning, although I don't believe in God or a higher power whatsoever. I don't think the two relate.

ok i do believe in god and i do believe in some things the bible says like u shouldnt kill or steal... stuff like tht ...however i do not believe in some things that the bible says like how someone who loves everyone (god) will send gays to hell for just liking the same sex y would someone who created them send them to hell ??

Where does the Bible say homosexuals go to hell? Some may interpret homosexuality as a sin; I've yet to see a verse that says they go to hell. Biblically, anybody who accepts Jesus as their true savior gets saved.

No kidding I don't have proof God created the universe. No one does. And I've already stated I'm atheist... so obviously I'm not arguing down that venue.
